Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated Lab Assistant/Technical Intern to support our training facility in Bonney Lake. This role is ideal for a student pursuing welding technology, manufacturing, engineering technology, industrial maintenance, robotics, or a related skilled trade.
No previous laser welding experience is required—we will train the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Prepare training materials and welding coupons for classes
- Assist instructors with classroom and laboratory setup
- Operate basic shop equipment safely
- Help maintain laser welding systems, accessories, and consumables
- Organize inventory, tools, and training supplies
- Assist with product demonstrations and customer events
- Perform light fabrication and assembly projects
- Support shipping, receiving, and equipment preparation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional training lab
- Assist with basic documentation, photography, and project tracking as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a technical program at Clover Park Technical College (or similar program)
- Interest in welding, advanced manufacturing, automation, or industrial technology
- Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working in a shop environment
- Reliable transportation to Bonney Lake
Experience with welding, fabrication, machining, CAD, robotics, or electrical systems is a plus—but not required.
